Strength of weakness being known…

Image result for weakness and strength

I know my strengths better than anyone else does…and I also know my weaknesses better than anybody else…

So….ultimately, unless I reveal my negatives and weakness to anybody, even the very trusted, nobody’s gonna know the perfect way to defeat me. If my defects are being publicized by me myself, then the chances of an enemy using it all up and trying to draw a perfect map to defeat me in the most easiest way is like, 100%.

And doesn’t that mean if I don’t reveal my weaknesses to anyone, I remain a mystery person with no negatives, and thus, no way to be defeated? 😉

Animos #21

Dena ran through the familiar neatly paved streets. Running as fast as she could just meant that she was jogging in the lanes.
Her mom was gonna have her for it, returning home late. She’s never done that before. Dena was terrified.
Left, Right, Left, Right fork, Left
Dena banged open the familiar wooden ornate door of The Daisy. And just what she had expected, awaited her.
‘DENA DAVIDSON! What d’you think of yourself!’ her mother thundered. Dena shivered and looked a her feet.
‘Sorry mom’
‘What in the world were you doing?’ she screamed at Dena.
‘I..erm…I was swimming. ..Yeah, right. I was swimming!’ Dena replied.
‘Of course, you didn’t! You did NOT! I went to the pool at the time when I expected you back at home. And no one’s there!’ her mother shouted at her, her face turning red with anger.
‘I..uh…I was just playing mom. With my friends , you see. And…And I…’Dena took a deep breath.
‘Mom, just assume that my Animos power is destroyed.’ Dena said that quickly and ran to her bedroom and bolted the door.
She heard footsteps and her mother thumped against the door.
‘Dena? What do you mean? Come here, my dear. Tell me!’
Dena knew her mother better. ‘Mom. I’m tired. I don’t want dinner or anything. I’m sleeping. Good night!’
She heard her mom sigh as walk away. But Dena didn’t sleep, for she utterly wasn’t sleepy.
She was thinking…deep in thought.
After having removed her Animos power, she felt weak and lonely…as though a part of her sou had been ripped apart. But yet, she was happy to be a normal person. A normal person she had never been in the last 13 years…

Animos #20

Dena groaned and pulled herself up. Her head was spinning. She blinked lightly.
Everyone around her lay unconscious, by the blinding light. And everyone had bruises and bloody cuts.
They were coming back to their senses slowly . ‘Nova, are you all right?’ Dena asked her as Nova scrambled up and sat back with a hand on her forehead.
‘Nuh-uh. You see, I have cuts in my arms and scratches on my feet.’ Nova said, moaning.
As everyone slowly stood up, Dena realized something.
‘Guys, the rock’s destroyed.’ she pointed at the place where the rock used to be, which now had pink-purple splinters still glistening on the cave floor.
‘So we’re no longer Animos‘ she whispered.
Cheryl glanced at her hands and tried bringing her wings out. No use.
Ace tried his antics. No use.
Jack couldn’t be brave and roar and Ren couldn’t hover inches above the ground.
Mina’s gills disappeared which she announced loudly to anyone who’d listen. Nova lost her powers too. And so did Dena. She tried running as fierce and fast as she can. But at the speed she ran now, she would surely have lost the race against a turtle.
‘Guys? Where’s Ben?’ Ren asked slowly.
Dena didn’t have to look far for the answer.
‘There’ she replied to where Ben’s twisted body lay crumpled to the floor. ‘Maybe a couple of boulders fell on him from the cave’s ceiling which knocked him out cold.’ she added matter-of-factly.
‘What to do with him?’ Ace asked.
‘Leave him here, I suppose.’ Jack said gravely.
The beautiful orange sun was setting emitting a yellow-ocher gleam across the horizon.
‘Yeah. Leave him here. And pluck those long green weeds lining the cave wall and tie his hands and legs in case he tries to climb down after us and get his revenge.’ Mina agreed.
‘What? Grasses? He’s gonna rip them apart in seconds!’ Nova said.
‘Yeah, Nova. But when he comes back to his sense-‘
‘-which he surely doesn’t have-‘
‘-he’ll be all dizzy and twisty. So firstly he’ll sit back and realize and wait for the world to stop spinning and stop his sight blacking in and out. When he does that, he’ll notice that he’s bound and when he really does rip that grass off, he’ll go and probably cry and moan and groan and mourn that Crystal and the shattering of his dream’ Mina said, her eyes lighting up.
‘And he’ll know he has nothing else to do. He can’t come down, because his dad hates him and I’m sure he’ll imagine that we’ll lodge a police case against him!’ Jack said softly, grinning.
‘Yeah. So you guys plan to make him live here?’ Dena asked.
They all nodded, apparently missing the sarcasm.
‘Time to go home!’

‘This plan is as stupid as it can be’ Nova said after listening to Cheryl’s idea. ‘But its the only thing we’ve got now!’ Cheryl argued..
‘So you guys want the whole responisbilty to be dumped on me, do you?’ Dena began.
‘No-‘
‘wha-‘
‘I’m no-‘
‘SHUT UP!’ Jack shouted, startling everyone. He hadn’t still got up from Ben and Ben was trying to get up in vain.
‘What ever your plan is. Put it to play.’ Ren said and Ace nodded. Dena sighed. ‘OK.’
She stepped forward along with Cheryl and both of them grabbed Ben by his hands and legs and pushed him, face down onto the floor. Ben yelled.
‘Lemme go! I want to conquer the world with you! Its fraternity, you idiots!’ He screamed.
‘Idiot is no word for us, Ben’ Dena said quietly, stamping Ben in his shoulder blades. He whimpered in pain.
‘Guys go on!’ Cheryl said ferociously.
The Animos played by the simple plan. They sped quickly towards the crystal, all of them surrounding it, leaing Dena and Cheryl back with Ben.
‘Ready?’ Came Nova’s voice.
‘Yes.’ Cheryl and Dena said softly and without wasting one moment, Dena raced towards the crystal along with a quickly soaring Cheryl.
Ben was taken aback by the sudden release of his body and before he could realize what ever was happening, it happened.
The Animos, with the count of three placed their palms on the crystal, all together.
There was a ear splitting noise and dazzling white light escaped out of cracks appearing on the rocks. Small stones fell from the ceiling of the cave on them, but the Animos held the Crystal tightly. With an almighty bang and blinding flash everything stopped.

‘Yeah.’ Jack nodded and all the Animos stepped forward.
‘Wait!’ Cheryl yelled. Everyone looked at her. ‘There someone else here.’ she whispered, looking terrified.
Dena’s ears strained and strained and finally when the intruder came into her hearing radius, she heard the person. ‘Yes’ Dena agreed with Cheryl. The Animos closed together, each one looking at a different side.
Then suddenly, from the nearest rock, came shuffling of feet and a few small rock particles fell to the floor.
‘I knew that father wouldn’t lie after all that’ Ben said quietly. He stood there, as casually as he could, with his hands in his pockets.
‘YOU!’ Jack shouted, startling everyone.
‘Yes, me. You see, I can’t believe why you want to destroy your powers.’ Ben began. ‘Let’s just agree on a deal, you can have your powers forever, I’ll make sure of that. In turn, you come together and form an army for me and we together control the world!’ He cackled merrily at the thought.
‘No.’ aRen muttered.
‘What did you say?’ Ben’s eyes flashed dangerously. ‘You refused me?’Ren ducked behind a downward projection of rocks from the ceiling of the cave. He backed slowly. ‘You refused me. You pay the price!’ Ben raised his arm from the pocket extracting a pocket knife and slashed it on Ren.
Dena screamed and Mina shut her eyes quickly.
There was a sound of scream, a yell and a slight whisper of ‘no’. Cheryl squinted at the pair of boys.
Ren stood, his back completely leaning on the wall with Ace, hanging from the cave’s ceiling with the pocket knife in his hand.
Ben, on the other hand, was completely flattened to floor by Jack who was sitting on all his fours on Ben’s torso, forcing him down.
Dena ran towards them followed by the others.
Jack pulled Ben’s collar angrily. ‘YOU! You…you…you…you, how dare you harm my friend!’ He roared. ‘I wouldn’t let you go unscathed!’ Ben’s lower lip trembled, he looked frightened.
‘Jack, calm down.’ Mina began. ‘Ren’s all right. And Ace, I suggest you come down from the ceiling. And guys remember? We’re here for the rock!’ Mina said in a very calm voice which seemed to suck out the anxiety in the place.
‘How do we blast the rock with this one around?’ Ace asked, jabbing a thumb at Ben.
‘Ben deserves a good lesson.’ Ren said, finally recovering from the shock.
‘Yeah. We’ll roll him off the cliff.’ Jack suggested.
Cheryl shook her head. ‘Ugh. Boys.’ she murmured exasperatedly. ‘Look I’ve got a plan.’

‘I say, we go in right now. No wasting time. I don’t want a nutter to control me.’ Ren said.
‘Yeah. Sure. Go on, then lead us.’
They entered the cave. Nothing could be seen in there except the black darkness.
‘Hey Dena’ Ace began all cheerfully. ‘Why don’t you go in there, a little deeper in the dark and have a look to see if there’s any monster to eat is up?’ He asked. ‘Because you see, we have to see if the coast is clear’
‘Why me?’ Dena asked, her eyes narrowing. ‘Jack can go! He’s a lion Animos! He’s much more braver and stronger and ah, the hero, the king of the jungle!’ she said.
Jack intervened.
‘I am not going because the king of the jungle doesn’t get down his throne to do petty jobs’ he roared. ‘And you can run back quickly here, if there’s something.’
Dena deflated. ‘Sigh. Okay.’
She set a quick pace and ran forward, taking good long strides with a animalistic gait. Her hair flew behind her and she felt as though she had full freedom when she ran.
She finally came to a halt, her heel rubbing the floor so hard that the sound of screech was heard.
‘All right there?’ Came Ren’s voice. ‘Did something eat you? Still alive?’
Dena heard a few sniggers.
‘heheheh..Hey, ouch. Stop that Mina! Stop pinching me! Okay. Fine! Sorry Dena, ‘kay? Leave me. Ow!’ That was Ren’s voice.
Smiling slightly Dena stepped forward. Her smile widened it awe.
‘Guys come here!’ she whispered, her voice echoing in the dark cave. There was a pink-purple crystal, branching right from the ground, nearly three feet tall. It had a mesmerizing look and Dena felt that it was really amazing. It looked dazzling and shiny without any light reflecting on it.
She heard shuffling of foot and gasp and “oohs” and “aaahs” as the other Animos spotted the rock.
‘Umm…’Nova said, breaking everyone from their thoughts about the crystal. ‘Time to finish the job which we’re here for.’

Animos #15

Dena lunged forward with great difficulty, her arms aching and her feet pulling her down. ‘Climbing mountain…puff…isn’t like…uh….huh…like climbing the…huh… ladders in a s…slide’ she muttered to herself.
Mina heaved greatly, following her footsteps. The Flamecia was a smaller mountain compared to any other ones, yet, it was difficult for the Animos.
Every one was panting, gasping, and red with fatigue while climbing the mountain… Cheryl was the only one who was not tired as the others as she didn’t climb the mountains.
She flew upwards, occasionally carrying one person a little higher in the mountain slope. But even Cheryl’s wings needed rest. So she flies a good great distance up and then rests for a while, waiting for the others to catch up.
‘Er…Cheryl..’ Nova started timidly. ‘Umm…I think I need a lift. I’m tired.’
Cheryl lunged forward and grasped Nova’s shoulders and carried her higher in the mountains.
‘That’s so helpful of Cheryl.’ Ren muttered to Ace, who, even though being a bee, could just hover inches above the ground.
‘I know you’re jealous there Ren’ Cheryl called from a high platform, surprising everyone.
‘You can here us there? From that height?’ He yelled. ‘Oh yes, eagles have sharp hearing for the sake of catching preys.‘ her eyes twinkled mischievously.
Mina and Dena giggled and the boys looked taken aback.
