It was on my birthday on the 29th of December, when I first read an excerpt of a poem by Douglas Malloch.
The tree that never had to fight,
for sun and sky and air and light,
but stood out in the open plain,
and always got its share of rain,
never became a forest king
but lived and died a scrubby thing.
It was so inspiring to me as it speaks about the fruits of hard work in such simple lines.
I just thought I’d share it here. 😀
There’s more than what meets your eye
you don’t know ’bout the battles I fought
with myself, my mind, my thoughts oh
You don’t know about the pains abound,
I could not put more in a song
I trusted no one except me,
which helped my fly out and soar high
But there’s more than what meets your eye
Don’t ever say, she’s coward I know
because you’ll never know about
the battles I fought
the battles I won.
Every blooming flower and every strong tree,
is just another beautiful sketch in God’s heavenly canvas,
(namely,) our lovely, dear earth.
The pearls of heaven adorning the fields
the carpet of the green grass tickling my feet
the beautiful blend of clouds in the sky,
making me realize how small and insignificant am I
the vibrant colors, the spirit of life
add little more than happiness
to the joys of the earth…
Rain..how beautiful can it be…
I can only wish to walk underneath while
god pours his blessings over me,
drops of crystals plummeting down…
And, pray, no one sees me cry…
for my tears blend with the pearls of rain
and flow silently down the drain…
With the moon’s shining grace
staring at me eerily, I could feel…
A piece of art, that moment was,
with rain plunging down on me…
that moment that was……..
Hey guys! I am back!!!
Long time since I posted, I know…but i just escaped from the clutches of depression, anxiety, migraines from tons of homework…
this was probably wat kept me alive this week
Standing up high with the scars of tears still stained on the face,
I could see, through my unfazed eyes how far I had come
I had come this far and I know I can’t let go…
To fight the echoes in the mind yelling give up…Oh you can’t do it….
I just tried walking a bit further
resisting and walking further
I wonder what would have happened if I hadn’t tried…
